Wellness Trufood Product Review

As many of you know my dogs are part of my family. I like to feed them the best food that I can afford on a budget. Normally they are on either Science Diet or Beneful, but I wanted to give Wellness Trufood a chance.

Since it’s grain-free, that’s one of the first things that caught my attention. I also heard when you read the ingredients of products the first ingredient listed is usually what the product contains most of.

Trufood’s first ingredient listed is Turkey. Everyone, including humans, need protien to supplement their diet.

Now Wellness Trufood is a freeze dried product. Which means you have to mix it, let it sit and then serve it.

It’s really a simple process, all you need to do is mix 1/2 cup of the food with 1/2 of water. Let it sit for 5 minutes and then serve to your pup(s). If your pooch doesn’t like how thick the mixture is then you can just add more water to make it more soupy.

You can find Wellness Trufood here, for only $12.92. There are other flavors to choose from so if your dog doesn’t like turkey you can pick something else he will like!

This product was provided by Chewy in return for my honest review.

How can Wellness Trufood benefit my dog?

Many dog owners have strayed away from any types of food that includes grains. Why? Here are some key factors and benefits of a grain free diet.

  • Healthier Skin and Coat
  • Better Breath
  • Fewer/Smaller Stools
  • More Energy
  • Helps Keeps Dogs Fuller
  • May Help With Dog Alergies

If you decide to go from a grain-based diet to a grain free diet, please do so at a slow rate. Going cold turkey can have serious stomach upset for your dog.

Start by mixing a little at a time of the new food in with your dogs old food. Gradually increase the amount of new food you are mixing.

Consult your veternarian if you are thinking about going grain-free to make sure this is the right choice.
